The Greene County Rams got their 20th softball win for the season in a home game Friday vs South Hamilton. The Rams were ahead 7-0 until the Hawks scored a run in the sixth inning and three in the seventh in the 7-4 game. All four the Hawks’ runs were unearned although they had 10 hits for the game, all singles.
The Rams had a total of 13 hits. Kayla Mobley hit two doubles and a single. Emma Saddoris hit a double and a single, and Bailey Godwin had two singles. Tressa Rasmussen had a double. Marissa Promes, Emily Christensen, Hannah Onken, Sydney Koch and Carleigh Paup all hit singles. Godwin had two RBI and Saddoris, Mobley, Christensen and Promes each had one.
The win put the Rams at 13-2 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. The Rams are undefeated on their home diamond.
